Report of Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles)

                                                                 By Tony Suckla

This year I prayed to Yahweh about where I should keep the festival of Sukkot and Yahweh showed me that I should go to Emory, Texas and keep it with brother Herb Soliinsky.

We observed the festival on the grounds of Yah's Restoration Fellowship Oct. 12-19, 2022.  All facilities were available there for lodging, eating, worship services, camping, and playground equipment for children, etc...

During the eight day festival about 50 different people attended with about 25 each day.  We had a reading and discussion of Torah each morning from 9-9:50am and then songs, prayers, main message, and each day we had an afternoon communal meal.

On first day of the festival we constructed a beautiful Sukkah with many decorations and took it down on the seventh day.

Throughout the festival we had many informing and inspiring messages brought by Larry Acheson, Herb Soliinsky, br. Jaime, Jeff Soliinsky, myself and others.  Praise and worship was led by the local congregation members, plus there was a nice round table discussion of the events to take place during the 1000 years period spoken of in Rev. 20.

I was especially encouraged by all the messages that were brought.  I especially liked the afternoon and evening meetings that were scheduled to discuss deeper subjects.  Herb Soliinsky had three studies in the evening on the following subjects.  1. Masoretic text vs. Septuagint, 2. Rabbinic Literature and its Relevance today, 3. The Dead Sea Scrolls.  Br. Jaime brought an informative study on the Temple - Past, Present, and Future.  Br. Larry Acheson had a three part message on "Do we honor the Heavenly Father by calling Him God?"

Some of my old friends from Missouri came for a few days to the festival.  I thoroughly enjoyed every day of this festival and being that it was near to my mother’s house I would definitely consider observing in Emory Texas again.

Shalom in Yahshua Mashiach,
